Whilst it may look like one solid machine, the Nanominer is in fact a collection of nanobots specifically designed to seek out and extract minuscule amounts of Trilium from beneath the surface of the land they're set to work on. The rapid rate at which the nanobots are capable of accumulating grains of Trilium in the integral cannister - the only part that remains with the miner whilst the nanobots are on-task - makes this a highly efficient tool. Miners must remain attentive however, in order to make sure the Trilium cannister is emptied into a larger receptacle between mines.
