The Processing Ring is something of an oddity at first sight, but is in fact a rotary tool that uses a series of scoops to extract a constant flow of material samples from its mining location, which are then analysed for Trilium and other useful resources by the central scanning core. It is a great tool for miners dedicated to saving up User Points to redeem at the NFT Outpost, but with less time for mining than Explorers who opt for Glavor Discs or Draxos Axes.
