š½ It may come as a surprise to some that there is in fact a community of Robotron conservationists whose purpose is to protect life and planetary ecosystems. These former Robotron Soldiers broke from their military programming and formed a research-centric community on the planet of Neri, their first success story being the famous Nanominer, a tool comprised of thousands of smart nanobots capable of extracting tiny fragments of TLM from land mass in an almost completely non-destructive way. They have been hailed by Federation environmental groups for their work, and are rumoured to be designing other methods of eco-friendly TLM extraction.āļø
