Explosives Specialists, whilst a somewhat slow and lumbering unit owing to all of the protective padding they need to wear, are nonetheless effective members of a squad with solid defensive capabilities and bombastic offensive power as well. In order to compensate for their restricted movement speed and complete lack of stealth, some Specialists opt to carry a Stave of Deception with them into the field. A well-targeted energy blast from the Stave is capable of briefly blinding numerous opponents, allowing the Specialist to finish planting explosives and withdraw to a safe distance unhindered.
