An archaic tech-driven shield from the time period when the Greys were a more bloodthirsty, conquest-driven race, the Sky Shield bears the mark of the long-defunct Gale Clan whose signature was weapons capable of producing air shockwaves (the Lithium Dagger being another example of their craftsmanship).
In the latter phases of the Grey civil war - a time when the various factions were mostly utilising Robotron armies as the cannon fodder for their campaigns - the Gale Clan equipped a legion of their Terminators with Sky Shields with devastatingly effective results. Terminators possessing these shields are still in circulation today.
